Gov’t Mule - Seattle, WA - 6/21/08
I so can’t wait for this one to show up on etree. And though I buy all the shows I attend from MuleTracks, this one will have me checking MT daily until it arrives. Yes it’s true, I left before Ratdog. I’ve seen them a bunch of times before, I heard Farmer tell some fan that Warren was on his way back to the hotel (thus no Warren sit-in w/ RD), there was a big line to go outside and smoke (??) so I said f#$-it and left. Sue me. Off to Spokane tomorrow. Sleep now.
Oh ok a few more things quickly. There was a fight or scuffle in the audience that prompted Warren to say something like “can’t we just get along” in the middle of a song. The fight/scuffle must have been Ratdog fans, because I know Mulers are far to level-headed to do something stupid like that at a show.
Julie and her husband were there, and I got to rock out w/ them in the front row.
After the Mule set I asked one of the crew for the “lyrics” sheet taped to one of Warrens amps. He kind of chuckled as he handed it to one of the security guys to give to me. It wasn’t a lyrics sheet - I thought it was either Smokestack or Little Wing as Brian taped it to Warrens amp around that time - it was a reminder for Warren to tell everyone about the Headcount booth.
